Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erg Chebbi (sand boarding)

On the second day of your Marrackech to Fes tours, another gorge named Todra awaits you with the roads through the Berber village and Dades valley. You can trek the canyons, which are around 300m high and a favourite place for mountain climbers. Once finished with the trekking, head towards the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga Sahara Desert. Lunch will be served before arriving at Erfoud. From Erg Chebbi, you can enjoy a 2 hour camel ride towards the camp behind an oasis, enjoying the fabulous sunset on the way. Feel like a nomad as you spend the night under a sky lit up by millions of stars and amidst Berber music.

    Section 2: 4 days/3 nights

    Tents, Marrakech to Fes tours

Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou

The second option in our Marrackech to Fez tours. Pick up from the hotel in the morning. Move towards Ouarzazate with the exotic view of High Atlas Mountains through the 2,260m high Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Let the mountain landscapes and the valleys unfold their beauty to you in different colours, along with the Berber villages. Kasbah of Telouet, occupied by the Pacha Glaoui during his reign, is worth paying a visit. This is situated in the village of Telouet, near the Onilla Valley. The Harem, along with the reception hall stands tall to speak for the luxurious life of El Glaoui. Moreover, it also depicts the Andalusian decorating style. The older parts of Kasbah are completely in ruins and make it difficult to visit. You’ll want to get lost in the crumbled passageways, which are more like a maze. Next, you will continue to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou in your Marrakech to Fez tour. This is a World Heritage site announced by UNESCO. The Moroccan Government, in 1994, announced Kasbah as a National Heritage and took up the preservation responsibility. This place was a major stop for camel caravans carrying salt through the Sahara and coming back with gold, silver, and slaves. Overnight stay will be at Ait Benhaddou.

Day 2: Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge

The travel to the city of Ouarzazate starts after your breakfast with a visit to Kasbah Taourirt. The journey will commence through the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura Oasis, surrounded by palm groves, to the Rose Valley, famous for the production of Moroccan roses. You can also opt for a smaller route to the Dades Gorge and pass by the strange rock creations of Tamnalt Hills. This rock resembles monkey feet. Dades Gorge is a deep gorge with red and mauve rock above the road. Next, you will return to Boumalne Dades to continue the journey to another famous gorge known as Todra Gorge.

Day 3: Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

On the 3rd day of your Marrakech to Fez tour, leave Todra Gorge behind to continue the journey towards Tourong Erfoud via Tinejdad. The fossils centre along with the ancient city of Rissani, which thrived in the earlier centuries due to caravan routes to Sijilmassa, is worth visiting. Alaouite, the early conquerors of Morocco, lived here. You can notice people wearing indigo blue robes. Enjoy the late afternoon with a 2 hour journey on the camel to Erg Chebbi, while boasting of the magical sunset on the desert. You will be spending the night at Erg Chebbi in the Nomadic style tent with a crystal clear sky full of stars.

    Day 4 : Merzouga – Midelt – Ifran – Fez

On the last day of your Marrakech to Fez tour, make sure you wake up as early as possible to enjoy desert sunrise at its best over the huge sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. This is, by all means, the best moment of Merzouga desert. After you have changed your clothes and finished breakfast, the journey towards Fez will start through the Ziz Valley gorge and Azrou. On the way, the views of lush green cedar forests, along with numerous monkeys on the trees, will keep you entertained. In the evening, you will be dropped at your hotel.

    Section 3: 2 days/1 night
